Nuc Medium

Description

Scheduled for the end of April or mid May  2024  (weather dependent).
Picked up in DeSoto, KS or Kansas City, MO .
The Nuc includes a mated 2024 Russian-Italian hybrid queen from Georgia and 5 medium frames.
Please note that this Nuc is to be installed in a medium hive body (6 and 5/8 inch).  Using all medium sized boxes makes rearranging frames easier. The nuc contains four medium frames (6 1/4 inch) of eggs, brood, pollen and honey and one  partially drawn or empty frame in a temporary waxed cardboard box.  The nuc will be contain a mated Italian queen and bees raised in Georgia.  The advantage of a Nuc is the queen has already been introduced and accepted by the bees.  The queen has laid eggs in the frames and most of the emerging bees are the new queens offspring.  Click this link to Michael Bush’s site to read about the advantages of using all medium frames.

Contains a 2024  mated Russian-Italian hybrid queen, 5 frames of eggs, brood, bees, honey and pollen.  All frames should be transferred to a permanent medium hive body (6 and 5/8 inch) after pick up  with required covers and bottom board.  You will need add 5 more medium frames  (6 1/4 inch) to fill the permanent hive body.  Additional hive bodies and frames will be needed as the population increases.  Nucs should be fed sugar water to help them grow if there is no nectar flow.  Available the end of April or mid May  2024  (weather dependent). for pickup in Kansas City, MO,  or DeSoto, KS

**Terms** Bees are a live agricultural product whose welfare becomes your sole responsibility when you take possession. Please have suitable bee hive equipment assembled and ready for prompt installation prior to the scheduled pickup date. Delaying installation of your bees can result in the loss of your bees.
